The Maldives’ premier private airline, Manta Air, proudly announces the commencement of direct flights connecting Bengaluru, India, and Kudahuvadhoo Island in Dhaalu (Dh) Atoll. The inaugural flight successfully touched down at Dhaalu Airport on Friday, marking a significant milestone as the first international flight from the airport.

Manta Air’s strategic initiative aims to enhance travel accessibility and efficiency for tourists visiting the picturesque resorts of Dhaalu Atoll. By offering direct flights from Bengaluru, Manta Air addresses the longstanding need for streamlined travel routes, eliminating the previous necessity for Indian tourists to transit exclusively through Velana International Airport (VIA) en route to Maldivian resorts.

“We are thrilled to introduce direct flights from Bengaluru to Kudahuvadhoo Island, providing tourists with a seamless travel experience and unlocking the untapped potential of Dhaalu Atoll,” said a spokesperson at Manta Air. “This initiative not only fosters greater convenience for travelers but also strengthens the bond between India and The Maldives, two vibrant destinations renowned for their natural beauty and hospitality.”

Kudahuvadhoo Island serves as a gateway to esteemed resorts in Dhaalu Atoll, including the acclaimed Kandima Maldives, a luxurious retreat synonymous with excellence and relaxation. With the launch of direct flights, tourists can now embark on unforgettable journeys to these world-class resorts without the hassle of multiple layovers.

India stands as the fifth largest tourist market for The Maldives with Bengaluru emerging as a favored destination among Maldivians for various pursuits, including medical treatment, higher education, and leisure activities. Manta Air’s expansion initiative reinforces the strong cultural and economic ties between the two nations, fostering greater connectivity and collaboration.

As one of the leading private airlines in The Maldives, Manta Air boasts a diverse fleet and operates both seaplane services and regular domestic flights, including routes flown on advanced ATR 72-600 aircraft. The airline’s commitment to innovation and customer satisfaction underscores its pivotal role in advancing The Maldives’ aviation sector.

The launch of direct flights between Bengaluru and Kudahuvadhoo Island signifies a landmark development in The Maldives’ tourism landscape, heralding a new era of accessibility and opportunity for travelers seeking unparalleled experiences in the heart of the Indian Ocean.
